Sweeping curves and attention to detail bring the definition of “Irenic” to life: that which promotes peace and tranquility. The bed is handcrafted using FSC certified sustainable wood and includes a small inlay of rare Amboyna on the headboard – a hardwood culled from the last board of the first sustainably harvested wood from the Solomon Islands. The side rails feature a section of Narmdeshvara Lingam or Shiva Lingam, a sacred quartz stone from the Narmada River in India known to encourage healing and meditation. It is believed that to have such a stone in one’s possession is akin to touching the purity of male/female energy. Each Irenic Bed is signed, dated and numbered by designer John Wiggers.
