iannone:sanderson was established in 2004 by Michael Iannone and James Sanderson from a shared interest in modern design and the desire to create functional furniture that
combines the simplicity of modern forms and patterns with the warmth and character of handcrafted wood.
Recognizing that designs have an impact on the environment, iannone:sanderson continually researches new materials and production methods that promote environmental stewardship. The company’s line of cabinets and tables focus on sustainable materials such as locally harvested domestic hardwoods, bamboo plywood, and Kirei board, a product made from the reclaimed stalks of the sorghum plant. Finishes include a combination of hand applied oil/varnish and a low-VOC water-based lacquer.
