Vivavi Sponsors Art and Sustainable Design Exhibit

Washington DC (1 July, 2004) For four Fridays this summer, Vivavi.com is sponsoring its latest exhibit “Four on the Floor,” a contemporary display of sustainable style, art and urban living.  The shows integrate the sculptures and paintings of highly touted local Washington DC artist Terence Nicholson with the latest in sustainable design from green design talents like Sergej Gerasimenko of ReturDesign Studio and Josh Levy of Levy Design and Manufacturing.

The events are held at Vivavi’s loft-like Washington DC showroom located at the confluence of Dupont Circle, Adams Morgan and the U Street Corridor. “Our urban setting enables us to position environmental consciousness in a refreshing context,” says Vivavi CEO and founder Josh Dorfman.  “When visitors enter our showroom they see first-hand how environmentally responsible products can embody the aesthetic and attitude that urban design fans appreciate.”

For Mr. Dorfman, Mr Nicholson’s artwork is a key component of the event.  “Art is about pushing boundaries and offering people a unique perspective on their culture and their place in that culture. This sort of focus is very much in line with Vivavi’s mission to build awareness among consumers and challenge them to reconsider their environment and how they interact with it.  It’s amazing how seamlessly Terence’s work blends into the contemporary vibe in our showroom.”

“Four on the Floor,” continues this Friday, July 9th from 6:30 – 8:30 pm with one final show on July 16th.  The event is open to the public.
